And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I visited Zurich back in the mid-1990s and again a couple of times in the early 2000s. I was a great city back then, but I wonder how it is now with mass migration hitting Europe in the last 20 years.
Kloster Rheinau (Rheinau Abbey) was a Benedictine monastery on an island in the Rhine river. It is in the canton of Zürich but not so near the city of Zürich.
