And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Who gave grandpa access to the PC again? He is once again blabbing about the "good old times" when women "knew" their place and didn't dare talk back to men.
Anon, he is talking economic reality while you are babbling about down with the alleged paternal hegemony or some kind of crap. You are a one trick pony.
Poor little Anon 6:51. I wonder if mommy can find you a "safe place" to hide from the mean old men (who by the way, know a lot of really important stuff that they have experienced over their lifetimes).
Nothing against age and experience here but the last two presidents have proven the point that there is a point in which you can have too much experience. If you reached the point in which you fall asleep in your own meetings then maybe you should not be in those rooms anymore.
You forgot the importation of workers from foreign countries also depresses wages. As well as the off-shoring of our industry having sent American jobs elsewhere cause American companies didn't want to pay American wages (thanks Clinton!)
Printing money and diluting salaries by doubling the workforce with the addition of women, yeah.

ReplyDeleteI used to eat there in the late 60s-early 70s.

What is the price of a T-Bone nowadays? 27,90? Maybe beyond that?
ReplyDeleteCorrect, 10X is about right.
DeleteMaybe, but back in the day I did not have two dollars to buy a dinner....$28.00 no problem now.
DeleteT-bone is about $28 per lbs. at a supermarket. At a restaurant you can expect to pay double that.
DeleteBeef prices have been up 15% since Trump took office. A combination of supply disruptions and tariffs are responsible for the high prices.
