  2. Packard's motto was: "Ask The Man Who Owns One"

  3. When this specific, highly documented car formerly owned by Clark Gable crossed the auction block at the RM Sotheby's Amelia Island Event, it sold for a staggering $1,210,000.

    Why is it so valuable?
This vehicle is widely considered by collectors to be the "holy grail" of early 12-cylinder Packards.

Only 311 Twin Six models were built in 1932, and just a tiny fraction were configured in this highly desirable Coupe Roadster body style, making it incredibly rare even without the celebrity connection.

  4. Around $7,000 in 1932 which is about $170,000 in today's dollars. While not insignificant (or cheap), I thought it would be even more.

  5. I knew the woman that bought his bed from Christie's auction house. She said like a Queen when she slept in it. I can understand that
