  1. My first job after high school was as a cook at the Bob's Big Boy restaurant and drive-in in Glendale, CA. It was #1. I am baffled and sad that the chain mostly closed down in CA. Whenever I'm in the area, I go to the Bob's in Burbank.

  2. Great image! Like you, DJP, I have fond memories of Bob's Big Boy in Glendale... if I recall correctly, it was on Colorado Blvd, the same street made famous by the Little Old Lady from Pasadena. It was a favorite hangout in high school (Hoover High) and after church youth group. Many excellent burgers were consumed there. Good times!

    1. Yes! Like, in Ohio! What the heck?!!

Original in Glendale: three buns, two patties, lettuce, mayonnaise, relish, one slice of cheese. But you could order any variation using any food we had in stock. I could tell stories.

  4. My salad dressing of choice is Bob's Big Boy Blue Cheese. Expensive, but yummy.

  5. Their blue cheese dressing was fabulous. We'd get a side of it and dip our french fries in it. Amazing!
