And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
There's a documentary on Youboob from Hal, telling his struggle getting the movie made, directing Burt, and the fears of the studio on the movies prospect.
When it began to rake in the moola, all fears were averted. It was like printing money. My mom and dad went several times to watch it, since it was a funny romp.
It was a great movie. I watched it again a few months ago. You are better off keeping the memories than watching it again and realizing how good it really was
This movie was POS. A 90 minute Coors beer/TransAm infomercial sprinkled with stupid storyline and more situations that defy logic than any Fast & Furious movie.
Most of us liked it because we were 13 when we saw it. If you see it now it sucks
Yeah, we need a remake, with Bud Light, Elliot Page replacing Burt Reynolds, and Zendaya replacing Sally Fields. Oh, and lots of electric cars! We need more of them onscreen.
"Dey is no way you could be the fruit of my loins. The next time I see your Momma - I'm gonna punch her in the face !" Jackie Gleason playing Beuford T. Justice.
Anon 10:07 - chill. This movie was not meant to make you think hard or change your life. Just two hours of silly stuff that make you laugh out loud. Better this movie than current WOKE curriculum being pushed by movie studios

DeleteNo black TransAm in the poster? That car was as big of a star as the humans
ReplyDeleteFun movie that helped socially anchor a generation...
ReplyDeleteJa, I was thinking one could Photoshop Pretti & Good's faces over Burt & Sally's and the sentiment is still the same.
DeleteGuys stared growing mustaches and tried to emulate him. Women loved him, my ex was one of them.
ReplyDeleteIt's on Netflix right now.
ReplyDeleteBreaker 1-9, you got your ears on?!?
