And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Only saw him live once, way back when in Charlotte. BTW, old style TN tag. Memphis wass "1", Nashville was "2", Chattanooga was "3", etc. Obviously a late 50s wagon, no idea what model.
Met him once. Saturday morning, in high school working at the local radio station. David Allan Coe dropped in looking for the program director. He was hawking his single "Monkey David Wine". Nope just me, running the automation system. He was driving an old hearse, no jive! The old car probably didn't have an FM radio. The station played classical music at the time.
one of the most popular artists appearing at Billy Bobs Texas, rest in peace
