And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Was traveling north on I-5 in Seattle going by Boeing Field. It is located juuust south of the city, so the view included the downtown area. Suddenly I see a dot to the north that resolved into a B-1 flying over the field for an airshow. Man, I gotta say, it is beautiful and scary as crap. If one is coming for you, you cannot hide.
When I lived in Rapid City, back in the day, I used to park on a hill overlooking Ellsworth AFB just to watch and the Bone do touch and goes. Incredible. Jeffersonian
Decades ago we had a great air show at El Toro (Don't know if that still exists?) They had one on the runway with troops stationed around. It was kind of a fly-in thing, so there was a lot of old military stuff on exhibit too. Regardless, the closest I'll ever get to some amazing aircraft. CC
