And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
You must be from Charleston, not too many people know about joggling boards. Brought ours when we moved but don't have a porch. People always ask what it is.
For most of my adult life, I have coveted a covered front porch like this beauty. Unfortunately, I've never had one. My main motivation is to hearken back when folks would sit out on them and chat with neighbors. A few years ago, when I lived in Bucks County, PA, the county seat of Doylestown had lots of home with this sort of front porch. My wife and I almost bought a home there but then I realized that the majority of the residents were limp wrist libtards. No thank you!!!
