  1. Slick yes. Low cost no. Probably over $70,000 ($150 sq. ft.) plus cost of land.

    1. IMHO $70,000 is a bargain to have somewhere to rest your head in the woods.

    2. It's a bargain only to people how have $70k for that...

    3. But Rob, then it's an asset, and it may well retain its worth and/or increase the value of your property. It's not as if the money has vanished, just changed form.

  2. I see people buying up a couple hundred feet of waterfront and installing rows of those things... Quick buck, I guess.

  3. Snow Load? Doesn't look like it could take much.
And what's up with that tree to the left? I think I'd have taken that thing out before I built.

    2. Not a flake or drop here. Most of the action was in the high country south of Lake Tahoe.

  4. Uninsulated and sitting on those useless cement post blocks. Otherwise nice looking.

    1. That foundation wouldn't pass code for a small deck. Insane!

  5. In an isolated spot where you didn't have neighbors, this would be a very nice bug out place. Needs a good woodstove though, to offset all that glass in cold weather. And even if that deck is cedar, it'll last longer with a good covering stain to keep off the UV light.

  6. Rain is going off that roof onto that deck then under the shack.
    Comment above are spot on.
Any place warm enough to not need insulation is going to have termites and they will make short work of that unit

That unit will depreciate vs appreciate .
