And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Dawgs! Be a pretty boring place without them. A few more centuries like to see how much more close Man and Dawgs become. I think they are getting very good at understanding human language. They sure are more sentient than other critters. Like my dawg, I swear she understands half what i'm saying to her, i can see the gears turning.
Same with my Aussie-Brittany mutt. She's been right with me at least 12 hours a day for the past 11 years and she knows me better'n than my wife does.
She doesn't understand English but she understands the sound patterns I speak to her. I use a limited sound vocabulary with her, over and over, so it's easy for her to understand and remember. Never more than 3-4 words in a row and always the same words.
