And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I just do NOT get soccer. Oh, sorry, fhoothbaahl. I know I am an ass, and that is the most popular sport in the world. Oh, sorry, the weelld. But I just don't get human pinball despite the obvious athleticism of the players and the urgent excitement of the fans. Pick it up!
People like watching other people do stuff. I don't get the fascination with *any* sporting activity that one isn't participating in directly, but apparently I'm unusual in that respect. Some people like soccer, some like football, some like baseball...hell, some people like watching other people play *cards*.
People the world over watch 'foosball' for the players' acting ability. They are waiting for that special moment when a player of the opposite team walks anywhere near to their home town favorite because they know the actor will dramatically flop onto the grass and roll around as if in severe pain. . That plus it gives them the chance for the occasional riot when their team wins. Mark in PA
