  1. They started their families at an earlier age back then. They do it all the time in Chicongo, harlem, and NO.

  3. Pernell Roberts was from Waycross GA and would come back from Hollywood to visit his mother between jobs. He invited the crew down for a dove hunt. Dan Blocker liked the area enough he bought a farm and turned it into a ranch.

    1. So a childhood neighbor of mine in Riverdale GA in the 60s (he's 10+ years older than me) supposedly received a deathbed letter from Pernell Roberts explaining he was some sort of lovechild.

  5. Younger folks probably remember him more as Cdr. Adama than as Papa Cartwright.

  6. Every one of Ben Cartwright's wives died in childbirth. For goodness sake, what the heck did he do to them?

    1. I believe Hoss's mother died in an Indian attack as they were moving west. I'm not sure they specifically mentioned how Little Joe's mother died, but it was shortly after he was born. She (Felicia Farr) is buried at the ranch, right next to the lake.

  11. Look, if we're going to play silly buggers, Robert Reed, the father in The Brady Bunch, was gay as f---, and fathering any children would border on the miraculous. He only managed one IRL, in a brief attempt to pretend he was heterosexual.

And multi-millionaire Thurston Howell III's wife was 13 years older than he was IRL, which would be as likely with a real multi-millionaire as flying pigs.

Which is why pretend-reality is pretend.
