And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I had a desk looking out the window, had to move it... the view was a bit distracting, way better to have it off to the side so I CAN look out if I want to. Plus, I use the wall in front of my desk to put things on... a calendar, schedule, notes, etc.
Good call. My last office job (I worked from home for much of my career) had a window next to the door, I moved my desk facing away from the window and the door. I certainly wanted to get work done and not socialize.
Personally, I'd prefer the design of the desk to be flat side toward the window and the rounded side toward me.
