And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Bought my dad one, had to be in the late 60's, for $75 from a co-worker who was moving to Australia with his wife who was from there. It was good for what it was, but my dad didn't keep it long. I haven't see any Studebakers in a long time, but I'll bet there's a club and a forum on the Internet.
A couple of weeks ago I saw a fine looking Student truck. Original paint, nicely waxed. Some minor dings. The gentleman said he inherited it from dear old dad. He drives it regularly although not a daily driver.
My dad had one as the second car. I drove it a lot when I started driving in '67. Not really too cool but better than nothing even to a 16 year old. Dependable and had an after market AC that could freeze you out. Great for central valley summers in California.
my '97 Mustang had a module in the trunk. module used on 'stangs, Thundercchickens, Lincolns and Crown Vics. They go bad at a certain age. if you find one of the few still available in a junkyard, don't expect it to work more than a few months. I scrapped the car because of this. parts availability for orphan cars is why they disappear.
