And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Can't agree with that. A Cajun made a meal for us and I had a mouth full of something that didn't taste right and had odd texture just before hearing "See I told you they would eat gizzard
Livers and Gizzards were the Monday night special at the ol' Kentucky Fried Chicken! (No to be confused with the rebranded KFC.) It sucked trying to make the livers, they would break half the time. And no hearts! If a case of livers turned up with added hearts, back it went.
I love virtually any meal that someone besides me cooks.

DeleteLivers & gizzards my favorite.
DeleteFried livers and gizzards, with my dad's cream gravy poured on top.
DeleteMy dad was the gravy king - cream, redeye, brown, he could make it all.

DeleteNed Eastwood: How many meals have you eaten in your life? One questionable meal? Not a bad batting average.
DeleteBoil gizzards before you fry them. Must be cooked twice.
ReplyDeleteKentucky Fried Chicken would pressure cook them.
DeleteLee Famous Recipe Chicken still has liver and gizzards on the menu, I go for that every time with their noodles and coleslaw.
