And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Looks great, if you can afford to hire a landscaper and the other routine maintenance the place is going to need. Seriously ... living in a place like that can make you feel like it owns you, versus the other way around.
So true. The taxes, insurance, gardening, maintenance, heating/cooling, etc can get silly expensive. That's why you have to "right size" the living arrangements. I'll get a place like that after my crypto currency investments pay off - hahahahaha! So never.
Hey, CW, I've been wanting to buy some crypto. How does one do that without attracting the IRS? I've heard about an LLC that goes into a 508 trust, etc. Very confusing, all of it...
Don't try to avoid the IRS. Treat it like anything else. One way to avoid at least current taxes is to buy it through an ETF in a retirement account like a 401k. And don't watch the price ten times a day. I'm waiting till Trump's third year and then checking the price, at which point I'll decide what to do with it. And don't invest any money in Crypto you can't afford to totally lose. It might go to zero, we really don't know.
If you can afford the home you can afford the upkeep. It is a beautiful property BUT the neighbors will be way to close. The post and beam is ideal but you also need a long off the main road driveway that leads to the center of your 50+ acre woodlot. It is still ok to dream.
From that low-level garage it's one hell of a stair-climb to ascend to upper-level living space. If you need to haul groceries from the garage to the kitchen, there'd best be a dumb waiter an elevator.
Do you drive? There's plenty of room to back out of the garage and turn down the hill. The short bit of stairs? It's a steep spot on the ramp. Get a life.
Absolutely. There is a reflection of a light that doesn't exist on the driveway just above the Beemer, also. And the house windows are reflecting a sunsetting sky when it's cloudy and raining. AI doesn't do reflections well.

DeleteToo much for my tastes. Like a nice hand built log or post and beam with a river rock fireplace and big farmers porches. And a workshop of course.

ReplyDelete“It is still ok to dream” - I love this comment - thank you for the true reminder.

ReplyDeletePeople who own something like that do not walk up 3 flights, they use an elevator, stairs are for the mouthbreathers.
DeleteThat's why God invented servants.
DeleteLook at the short bit of stairs behind the Beamer that lead nowhere. Also, no adequate turnaround in front of the garage doors. I'm gonna say AI.
