And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Pocket Rockets are the best, most reliable, and simplest stoves on the market, and the price is not bad either. I have hundreds of hours on the two of mine. Both boil water in very few minutes when coupled with a small titanium pot. zero problems, although butane is not well suited for below zero weather. Indispensable backpacking kit. I highly recommend, and I don't recommend shit.
I finally wore out my original MSR Pocket Rocket after using it hundreds of times over the past 20 years. The threads on the bottom wore so bad that it would no longer hold a seal to the butane can. No way to fix, it seems.
I bought a new MSR Pocket Rocket last year but it is different from the old one in a couple ways. The big red part on the bottom seems to but up against the rim of the butane cannister. Just yesterday I used the Dremel and a wheel to gently shape the bottom of the MSR and now it doesn't touch the can. win-win
I don't advise the model with the built in igniter as it will soon fail. Just carry a BIC or 2 in your pocket.
I have one in each of my vehicles.....
