Fresh Mackerel's, like hour or less are serious gourmet when grilled, before their oil starts to go rancid, same for Blue's, (supposedly they are related species), but a brace of fresh Mackerel's are hard to beat fish wise. Nothing tops fresh grilled shellfish though, but its all good no matter what, just great wholesome food. Brain food. Grew up on just harvested sea food up in Maine, used to scuba for Lobsters and Scallops. My top favorite is fresh Muscles.
