And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Thanks Al. I thought maybe that's who it was. I remember her in "The English Patient". I kind of put in her in a small group along with Julia Ormond who played in the re-make of "Sabrina". Steve_in_Ottawa
I was just about to say that she looks French. Can't get enough of that classic French look! Perhaps that's a holdover from a past life. I've been told that I was a German and married a French woman.
Used to be a pretty good actress, nowadays not so much... I absolutely loved her in "The Unbearable Lightness of Being", the filming of Milan Kundera's masterpiece. After 2000 she pretty much faded out, and the movies she made - well, she played mostly a side characters and the lead roles were... forgettable. Such a shame!
Nice looking mature (?) woman.
ReplyDeleteJuliette Binoche about 30 years ago, I think.
