And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My uncle was a Dodge dealer and gave us stacks of postcards with pictures of the new Dodges. Loved those big fins. A crumb bum cousin who was here when he was a kid filched those along with all of my brother's and my old comic books. Nearly sixty years later I'd still like to give him a solid kick to the crotch. Or maybe a few dozen kicks.
A reminder that yesterday will never come again. And neither will today. Make the best of it while you can.
