  3. I had a Teac back in the day. It's main duty was to record BBC transmissions as the BBC would play entire records at midnight their time. I could only pick them up after dark so I had 5 months of album recording. Most of it was crap but I did get the first 3 albums of Men At Work six months before they were released in the states.

  4. Since the resurgence of vinyl, people have started looking for other analog sources to place in there collection of audio equipment. Ballfingere is an audiophile manufacturer who make very good Reel to Reel decks at very high prices. The M 063 pictured is no longer manufactured, but in 2019 they sold for aprox. $28,000. I am sure it is worth it to some people but it is not worth it for my old ears.

  6. I’ve used a large number of reel-to-reel decks over the years in various studios and labs. I’ve owned Teac, Tascam, Ampex, and Sony. I’ve used all the big German brands. I can recommend that if you get a Revox you probably will not be disappointed, I never have been.
