And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Somewhere I have an old Dodge Brothers enamel emblem like this, although mine is a bit beaten up. I should find it and find a way to affix it to the current Dodge I'm driving.
When I was working in Madison, NJ, I would often drive past the Dodge Estate there. Quite impressive deer park. You couldn't see the mansion from the road. It was my understanding that Dodge sisters still lived there. It was the early '70's.
I found one back in the early 70's in an old garbage dump back in the woods behind the house my dad bought. WE found dozens of pre 1900 bottles, and other things as well. carriage steps, and my brother dug up a cast iron toy race car. Anyone interested i a photo of it?
