Saturday Evening 1911, and a nice bit of stag on that pocket knife in the background.

  1. Nice, I spent an hour pressing out 330 rounds of low end 357mag plated hollow points this afternoon. Range day tomorrow for 357, 9mm, and possibly the 45GAP. If there are few people there the 45GAP will come out. 9MM brass is expendable and 357 get dropped into the ammo can. The 45 GAP brass is rarer than a 25 year old virgin in Hollywood.

The GAP is a bouquet round. It is equivalent to 45+P according to the books but it can be loaded at much higher velocities as it was under-rated to not upset the 45ACP purists.

  4. The 1911 is a fine weapon and has proven itself for decades. The only draw back, IMO, is the magazine capacity.
