  1. It doesn't have the punch of the .460 S&W, but it will still kill anything in North America and that's good enough.

  2. Nope. These arthritic, old hands and wrists don't work too well anymore. I have enough trouble nowadays with full house .44 mag reloads in my Blackhawk. Not as much fun blowing up things with them as in the old days. Now I stick more to the ones loaded down to .44 Special specs for practice and plinking................

    1. I use the .45 Colt (Long Colt) cartridges for plinking in my Super Redhawk Alaskan, but the war shots are Hornady .454 250 Grain Jacketed Hollow Point factory loads.

    2. Mine are hard cast 240 gr Keith style screaming out of the barrel at about 1350 fps. Gotta get me a .45 Colt one of these days. My latest hobby, or obsession as the lovely missus calls it, is refurbishing old Damascus barreled shotguns. Just started that one, so that's where the spare cash is going.........

    3. I got an old double barrel, double hammer 12 gauge damascus barreled shotgun that is beautiful. However, I am worried about shooting the darn thing. It looks awesome sitting in the gun rack though!

  3. Guides in Africa used to smile wide when you showed up with a caliber that began with the number "4"!!
