Lieutenant Bowers, call sign “Banzai” is 1 of about 5 women who fly the A-10

  1. it's smiling because true warriors love the close in knife fight. A-10s and the pilots who guide them dance the dance.

  2. Worked with the Marines in the Harrier RAG (replacement air group) training squadron at MCAS Cherry Point. Only the best of the best from Naval Aviation get to join up. The women Harrier pilots were...formidable. To say the least. Wouldn't want them to be mad at me. Or, well,...maybe.

  4. We had a squadron of A-10's based at Shaw AFB back in the early 90's and they flew maneuvers over here in my county. Loved seeing and hearing them.

  5. Best close in air support I have ever seen. I saw an article and photo years years ago of a young female LT who brought her A-10 back to base and it had been totally, and I mean totally, shot to shit. She had a huge smile on her face. I loved it.
