And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Lieutenant Bowers, call sign “Banzai” is 1 of about 5 women who fly the A-10
Worked with the Marines in the Harrier RAG (replacement air group) training squadron at MCAS Cherry Point. Only the best of the best from Naval Aviation get to join up. The women Harrier pilots were...formidable. To say the least. Wouldn't want them to be mad at me. Or, well,...maybe.
Best close in air support I have ever seen. I saw an article and photo years years ago of a young female LT who brought her A-10 back to base and it had been totally, and I mean totally, shot to shit. She had a huge smile on her face. I loved it.
Look, it's smiling!
ReplyDeleteit's smiling because true warriors love the close in knife fight. A-10s and the pilots who guide them dance the dance.

We had a squadron of A-10's based at Shaw AFB back in the early 90's and they flew maneuvers over here in my county. Loved seeing and hearing them.
