First time I've grown this kind, but if the rest of them look as good, it won't be the last.
This variety also grows pleasingly tall, up to ten feet. I like that.
And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That's pretty but how does it taste, roasted with butter and salt?
ReplyDeleteThat's the sweet corn. This is either for popcorn, cornmeal or just decoration. But then again I haven't cooked this ear either. Maybe for fun I ought to try that.
DeleteI am not being facetious, but is the popcorn colored? That would be amazing.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a beautiful ear of corn.
Dunno, but I guess I'll find out
DeleteEating the corn might be racist.
ReplyDeleteCalling it Native American or Indigenous people corn eases that racial dynamic...
DeleteI'm just trying to shield you from charges of social appropriation by eating or growing corn (any corn). Since peppers, tomatos, yams, potatoes, etc. also came from the new world, you shouldn't eat them either.
DeleteI know I'm a filthy sinner, but sinning feels (and tastes) so good.
DeleteI was one of the first to receive that corn. I gave the seed away
Deleteand it went viral a few years ago.
