And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
We had a Shasta trailer just like that when I was a kid in the early '60s. It was complete with the rear wings, and had real wood paneling, 13 ft long, cozy for a family of four. My little sister and I slept in canvas bunks slung above a pullout bed in the back. Dad used to put crumbs on the roof at night. Forest critters would wake us in the morning, pecking at the food. He pulled it with a '56 Chevy panel truck. I still have a 35mm color slide of that classic rig.
Those old stone walls one sees in the British Isles are amazing. Lots of patience and craftsmanship went into building them, which is mostly taken for granted today.
Photo #1 of the autumn leaves and the boat. Runner up is the guy on the motorcycle.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an awfully icy road for bike riding, doesn't it?
DeleteExactly! Talk about color saturation!
