The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Those jugs that milk comes in would probably be the most practical, as long as they have the screw on plastic lids. Get about ten or twenty, cleaned out, and as long as you can store them ok, that should do it.
I'm always amazed that people waste money buying water before some emergency. Buy water jugs and fill them at home. It's way cheaper.
