And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? We had a 30-30 lever action in our rifle rack in our 58 Ford farm truck. This was Nebraska in the 60's. We would go to town windows down and have lunch. People respected each other, no need to lock up the truck. Thanks for inspiring great memories and positive morning news for me. John, Lake Tahoe.
Consider the Mini 30. Size and weight are similar to the M1 Carbine, and simpler than an AR. Packs a bit more wallop than the.223/5.56, term. ballistics equivalent to the .30-30.
It replaced the venerable old lever-action 30-30 Winchester as the ranch rifle of choice a long time ago. It's a very good firearm.
