Lessons from the real world.

First, this is her picture.  She's blond, and heck, she's Romanian, and probably has one of those cute central european accents.  Of course, Mr. Powell denies everything, and who knows, he might be telling the truth. One must also consider that the hacker may be releasing only some of the emails, to suggest something was happening when it wasn't.

But, in spite of his reputation, Powell isn't very smart, for the following reasons:

First, every foreign diplomat is either a spy for their country, or can be made into a spy, and a favorite technique for this is the so called "honey trap," where a hottie with a naughty body comes along and tries to seduce you. Then the pillow talk suddenly verges into secret passwords and the location of military units.

Powell absolutely knows this, so what in the world was he doing, at the very least, playing along with the Romanian blondie?

I would think that the State Department might want to ask him some pointed questions right about now.

I think his wife Alma may want to ask him some pointed questions right about now as well.

Second, we know the NSA knows all that we say or do on the internet, and now we know that apparently any motivated hacker, let alone a nation state with all it's resources, can do the very same.  Emails must be considered public when you are in any way famous or in the public service.  Powell apparently didn't think of that.

Idiot, and idiot again.

I hope she was worth it.
