And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
True story; the P-38 carried engines built by Allison which was a GM company. Harley Earl, VP of Design for GM got a chance to see a P-38 in 1939 and he fell in love with the twin tails. He carried that idea to GM automobiles and they showed up on the '48 Cadillac. The rest is history.
