It is my opinion that Obama in particular, and what is now the Democratic Party in general, behave as they do because they actually, deep down, hate everything that America and Western Civilization stands for.

Peter Hitchens apparently once felt the same way, and explains this destructive attitude on the left.  Keeping this in mind, all the seemingly insane things that the Democrats and Obama does makes much more sense.  It's all about putting an end to the freedoms and prosperity of the West, out of spite and hatred.
