People are becoming less and less tolerant of the government's takeover of basically everything important.

Witness this ad on the DC subway.  When was the last time an organization used language like this against a sitting president?  I blame those in leadership positions who have used inflammatory and obviously false statements to appeal to emotions, rather than logic, and who have encouraged other less savory groups to do the same.  Since one party in particular has crossed the Rubicon on this multiple times, perhaps it should be no surprise that their political opponents are responding in kind.  Expect more of this as the November election approaches.
