Looks like fun (albeit cold), though I'd prefer to stick to foodstuffs that didn't require utensils or crockery given those swells. Protein bars and such would be ideal.
Having sailed in rough weather I can tell you that the skipper made a big mistake by leaving the inflatable boat attached to the transom davits. It Will be washed away. The wooden davits will probably go with it, making for the real possibility of a hole or two in the transom. The video shows the inflatable being filled by waves. That is dangerous.
With the technology we have today it is moronic to attack the Southern Ocean with outdated vessels and rigging.
