Shave of the Day
PAA Solstice soap (smells like the desert), Strong Set pure bristle brush, Clauss magnetic straight razor, Cella aftershave.
Two passes, some touch up, and a really quality shave. Straights will do the job if you take it slow and steady.

Our paper money now is good, but this was downright bad azz!
Showing that money was made through hard work, the traditional family unit - with dog - and of course, Andrew Jackson, breaker of big banks, dueler of duels, and victor over the British and the Creek Indian nations.
And the 1000 dollar bill - bring it back! Call it the Kilo Note, but forget Cleveland, put Reagan on it!
Someone's been into the alcohol stash.
And did Boeing engineer those overheads to support the weight of a full grown human? I think not.

This stuff will grab you by the ears and slap you silly.
I love it in the summertime. But it's strong.
For Diane's customers in France
Homes filled with water. Boats washed up on people’s lawns and on the Brielle Avenue bridge.
Also, a real estate sign went missing.
It had been planted in back of a house for sale on Cedarcrest Drive, facing a narrow inlet called Debbie’s Creek. The sign was 18 by 24 inches and about an inch thick and made of plastic composite. It disappeared along with the post it was mounted to and was never seen again.
Until around May 14, 2018.
On a beach in France, 3,595 miles away.
A man walking along the Plage du Pin Sec, near Bordeaux, spotted it.
Trip to Monitor Pass and Bodie or, the Thursday Open Road
In an unusual development, the kids are around, and so I took the younger two on an epic road trip yesterday, driving over Carson, Monitor and Tioga passes, Mono Lake, and Bodie, a ghost town out in the high desert.
An all day drive, but lots of country covered.

Wide angle lenses are fun. Slinkard Valley and beyond, Nevada and the basin and range country.
Old mining equipment at Bodie. The town's motto: A man for breakfast every morning.
The state maintains the town in arrested decay. It's fun to visit and walk around, but it's high elevation - you'll tend to gasp for air if you come from the flats.
Believe it or not, I paid 4.99 a gallon for gas in Lee Vining for the thirsty Dodge. Remote gas costs more, I guess.
