The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Old outboard mechanic here. That motor screams Johnson-Evinrude from the powerhead down, but I can't read the script on the hood. OMC had two sub-brands that it used to reduce excess parts inventory. They were Buccaneer and Gale. Could it be one of those? That style of gearcase appeared in 1952 with the 25hp, if I remember correctly...
