The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Palazzo Barberini in Rome, by Pietro da Cortona, the bees are the giveaway. The Barberini family used them for their coat of arms, subtle pun. The palace and the ceiling were accomplished during the reign of a Barberini as Pope.
Great art requires strongly top-down societies, monarchies, dictatorships, at least aristocracies. Democracies spend all their income on immediate consumption, and produce no art, only ugliness. The US is a case in point.
