And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
To be fair, colonialism helped a lot of countries. It is easy to go all yelling about White people, colonising countries. Lets call them British, even if they were mainly English, did they really harm the primitive people of various African countries, Australia, New Zealand ? Slavery, you say ? Apart from Australia, every other country colonised by Great Britain had slavery, slave masters, cruel treatment being meted out, just not by White people until the British came. Take New Zealand, the primitive people there, the Maori, themselves colonisers of the previous people (whom they eradicated by killing or eating them) lived a warring life, attacking and being attacked by other tribes over in the next valley, the victor taking slaves, killing and eating the stronger of the defeated tribe, tattooing some of the slaves and then beheading them and shrinking their heads as ornaments ... I kid you not, look it up. Then the White people came, the British, narrowly beating the French, and after a few years of fighting the natives, wrested control of the country, bringing law and order, stopping the natives eating each other, gave the country plumbing, the wheel, trading, farming, all the trappings of a modern country ... do you think New Zealand would have been better not colonised ? The native people left along to either eat themselves into extinction or to stumble along until one day they were discovered like some remote Peruvian tribe still praising the weirdest god of all, Sol. How about the USA, what do you reckon it would be like now if the Europeans didn't come and colonise it ... would the American Indians have figured out the wheel, the internet, flush toilets ... and if so, when ? I don't believe in any gods because I was lucky in my genes and have intelligence, and it is with wonder that I look at nutters who believe in ghost blokes in the sky (or whatever) ... can barely restrain myself when I see a priest in the supermarket queue (why hasn't his god given him food ?) ... so yes, I agree that the fabricated gods cause a whole lot of deaths, a whole lot of suffering (imagine being an 8 year old girl on your wedding night to your 45 year old fat husband, his saliva drooling down his chin with lust ... because their make believe god says it is ok) but don't knock colonialism, the life you have now would be markedly different without it having happened. Especially if you are not White.
Mmyeah, you don't have to like it (and I don't), but the sad fact is that we're in a religious war. The sooner that we understand that, and examine our values and how stridently we are willing to defend them, the better that we will be.
A Crusade to counter the Reverse Crusade that we face is in order.
Unfortunately it won't happen again. Check the white population percentage of Europe, Canada, and the US. America ain't a crusader population by any stretch .
After two world wars killed millions of warrior/men, removing all that means from the gene pool, a couple decades of anti/negative white male pogrom, with the invasive surveillance abounding, the citizen disarmament, turning most of the citizenry into basically an economic pauper class, the Euro union isn't capable of getting it up crusade wise any time in the near future, regardless where that comes from. Never mind one of the premise why a NATO still exists is to assure that Europe can not raise its own independent militaries capable of war on their terms. Lot of stuff is gonna need to change big time. Never mind the clowns and robber baron class running things.
Moslems sneer at your attempt to defend yourself. The fat faces under those headwraps and the militant conquering moss-kuh buildings are proof. There is a correction, but no one wants to speak of it.
That would be great. Europe would be a good place to start, they could use an awakening.
