Wow, classic station wagon, perhaps the epitome of the genre.

  1. As Red (That 70's Show) said about the wagon after he accidentally got high, "You can cruise the vista."

  2. Yeah baby…my good friend, now deceased, took his parents 69 vista cruiser and retooled the existing Oldsmobile 400, balanced and blue printed, weight removed, into one of the fastest cars in CoCoCounty in the late 70’s. Got bless you Bill

  3. Shake roofed house. Don’t see many of those anymore.

Love the eyebrow window on the wagon.

    1. Building covenants in Charlotte's Eastover Neighborhood required a permanent, 50-year roof. No shingles. Only slate, cedar shakes or metal.

The average house there is $3-4MM.

  4. We had one, early 70s. Awesome wagon in every single way, down to that particular lovely turbine-like whine from the 350 Rocket V-8 and Turbo-Hydramatic. What a machine.

    1. Oddly enough, we had a shake-roofed house too.

  5. I saw an old station wagon today, they really standout when you don't see them often anymore.

  6. The license plate appears to be an Arizona issue, one that was used 1980-96, white characters over a maroon colored background. They featured a saguaro cactus graphic placed between the three letters and the three numerals.
