And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
MH-53 had a back ramp. They could fly with the ramp down, an passengers or crew could hook up a safety harness and dangle their feet off the back ramp. Did that over the Dhahran, Saudi Arabia area. We flew over some cool stuff. Abandoned buildings being reclaimed by the desert (looked like an entire airport), herds of camels, a Bedouin camp with tents, a few camels, and a white Toyota pickup.
