And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

We have 2 new hummingbird feeders and there are at least 15 hummingbirds dive bombing all day long. My wife reloads then 2 times a day. In the evening we sit on the front porch, I sip suds, and we watch them. Better than anything on TV.
When we lived in the country we had skunk families that would come out and eat mulberries that had fallen. We would go sit in chairs very quietly and watch them. We called it skunk TV.
I'm pretty certain the aggression is mostly playing by the youngsters. 2 weeks ago there were only about 5 birds at our feeders but now there are 15 or more. Hard to count them as they are so fast. The hatchlings have left the nests. In the 20 years we have been watching the feeders up close in our front yard we've never seen a dead or injured hummingbird.
A couple of years ago one flew into the garage, landed on the mirror of the motorcycle and just sat there. Interested in the music on the stereo maybe.
