On the way to the mill

  1. Must be a chain/log boom downstream. Or it's a holding pond for the mill. Everything at rest, so reasonably safe. It would be ultra reckless to have Mom, baby and family pet there if those logs were moving.

    1. Old B&W movie of a land rush (??Oklahoma??) featured a small child sitting on the ground with all the rushing horses, riders, & wagons bearing down on him/her. It was a live child of the stunt rider who picked the child up ahead of the rush. Safety considerations worked on different wavelengths back then.
