ReplyDeleteJordan Peterson is the educated end of the spectrum that starts with the Tate brothers. Peterson is more educated and says things in a quiet voice with a patina of intellectual/professor language but still stands for the same views.
ReplyDeleteHe believes women should be subordinated to men. He thinks It is ok that women get paid less for the same work as men.
Peterson believes that male led hierarchies are biologically natural and inevitable rather than purely social constructs. He chooses to ignore the hundreds of examples of matriarchically organized societies all over the world.
The underlying truth in most of his views is that he is an old white man that is afraid that he is loosing power and by presenting the societal structure he grew up as natural and inevitable he is trying to stop women progress.
Much like the Tate brothers, Peterson is a weak man masquerading as a strong man. Fuck him and fuck those who think like him.

DeleteNo, he’s explained repeatedly that hierarchies are necessary so we can function in a world of infinite information. The hierarchies can be based on power or merit. Those based on power are weak and unstable. Do you hire a plumber or doctor based on who’s the most competent or the most tyrannical?

DeleteHis wife received a terminal diagnosis, and he started taking an antidepressant under the care of a doctor. He tried to withdraw but had some kind of rare autoimmune reaction and had to go to Russia to be put in a coma while he went through the otherwise unbearable withdrawal symptoms. His daughter documented the whole thing, and he’s explained it many times, including in the linked book.

DeleteWhy all the venom? He’s human, and he’s had human failings. Let those among us who is with our sin cast the first stone. All he’s done is encourage people to take responsibility for their situation, and it’s a message that has resonated especially with young men , who today are in desperate need to proper guidance and encouragement. Try reading something that he actually wrote, instead of internet summaries.
