    1. Don't mention AI, too many tender souls will be upset. Might even resort to calling you a dickhead.

  3. OK, I'll be the practical jerk. Add to the cost... the extra $$$ to hire a gardener. You definitely don't want to waste YOUR life weeding, spraying, weeding, dead heading, fertilizing, watering, pruning, weeding, dividing, rinse and repeat. You might want two gardeners. My wife is an avid gardener, she spends hours on a very much smaller garden. She loves it but it is truly time out of your life. YMMV.

    1. My wife is a gardener. To her it is not work. She'll spend upwards of twenty hours per week, every week year round, year after year deadheading, trimming, weeding & raking, planting new, transplanting, raising new, pulling out old.
She loves it. Its not work.

Meanwhile, she has time to read books, write letters, schedule family events, plus work a regular job.

She is not superwoman. Time management is not a super power. Many people are surprised just how much time they waste watching the idiot box or on the computer.

    4. If you like something you'll do it a lot and you'll do it well, and that is not wasted time.

  6. Looks nice. That was a ton of work by the owner, or cost if contracted. I would have gone for concrete walls with contained steel pipe sunk 4' down. Those RR ties will rot out in 5-10 years.
