And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
We inherited some land back when I was a little kid. Pretty common back in the day to just park old junkers behind a barn and let them rot. There were a couple of cars, probably from the 30's or 40's, sitting out there. My Dad told us there were rattlesnakes so we never tried to play in them. Eventually he paid to have them towed off. I think one of them broke in half due to being sunk in the ground and the frame rusted completely thru. So yeah, pretty much too far gone.
