And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
It's nice until the day the fire comes roaring up the canyon. Doesn't matter about setbacks and brush clearings, that house won't survive without helicopter water drops.
That house could very well be "fireproof". In part, poured concrete walls, 12ga standing seam metal roof with high pressure 200' radius fire suppression sprinklers, triple glazed fire rated glass in windows and doors, keep all vegetation in a 200' radius removed or trimmed back, etc.
