And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Loved Speed Racer as a kid. The original intro song (in Japanese, of course) said something like 'he can never take the pain of his defeat'. That didn't make it into the English translation.
Cute sentiment, but I'm not going to a protest in a convertible. Also, needs something for the sides, the back, the hood, and if there was a roof, the roof. I've seen vids of protestors climbing all over cars. And while saw blades is tempting, pepper/bear spray is cheaper and way more legal.
Mach 5 from Speed Racer. Go, Speed Racer, Go!
ReplyDeleteHe's a demon on wheels.

ReplyDeleteIf I recall, the roof was retractable and glass and I think all the windows were bullet proof. So it would be good for driving through a protest.
DeleteGo past Mach 5 and you are travelling at hypersonic speeds. Chim Chim and Spritle knew this but kept it from Speed to keep him grounded.
ReplyDeleteNow do Racer X his cousin
