  4. Anybody else wondering how they spanned that roof, and what kept it up ?
    What is it, a 15 to 20 metre span ? You'd use steel beams today, reckon gluelam beams wouldn't do it ... but they did it with stone ?
    Nah, that wouldn't work ... so how did they do it ?

  9. I thought the Pantheon was circular, with a dome. This doesn't look like it at all.

    1. You're thinking of the Pantheon (in Rome). This is the Parthenon (in Athens).
