And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Many years ago, when I was young and ambitious, I learned that Russians are tomato crazy, that they have developed many unique breeds and that I could buy seeds for all of them.
So I did, planted them in my garage under lights in March, put them out after frost ended, ate them all, and they were fantastic.
But too much work, especially with the number of farms up here in western Canada suddenly owned by immigrants from India who are also tomato crazy and very, very good at growing them and bringing them to farmers' markets.
I've only had the red ones, the others don't appeal to me.
