And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

ReplyDeleteI ate these for a few days after I had my gall bladder removed.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty good, I've got a couple of cans in my pantry.
ReplyDeleteI stopped buying Progresso because it seems to be mostly water with a very low ratio of solids.

DeleteHey CW, I stumbled across this Campbell's "Homestyle" chicken noodle a year ago and have taken a liking to it. Seems to be thicker, more flavorful than regular chicken noodle, and though the cans are smaller than Progresso they are affordable. I've bought 3 cases.

Over processed garbage, frankly. Mostly non-nutritive at this point.
ReplyDeleteGood emergency backup food. Stores for some time. Food when you really need it.
ReplyDeleteThey have a full line of spicy versions now.
ReplyDeleteGreat comments above. Local stores in Berkeley of the Midwest (Madison, WI) have sales on them pretty regularly - almost every other month. Great to stock up on for a quick take to work, take camping, or for emergencies. Ghostsniper - I will have to try your recipe as we are trying to get more whole foods and very little preservatives in our daily usage. I remember a guy who used to have a segment on local news where he would take 1/3 of a cup of frozen veggies and purree them and then add them with 2/3 of a cup of the frozen veggies in normal canned condensed chicken noodle soup. This made it a bit thicker and added more veggies.
ReplyDeleteThat makes good sense, I'm going to try it.
